I really want to share this with you guys. One and a half years ago I joined Ultimate Editors. I was working a 9-5 in a different country making $1,400 with no growth route. I was 26 years old at the time, felt I had reached a dead end. I was stuck, not knowing what to do. I was working 18 hours a day — 9 for my main job and 9 hours just crafting my editing skills.
Fast forward to today, I hit the $3,000 mark. But this is just the start. I want to reach $10K a month and even more. Thanks to the grind and Ultimate Editors. After editing a video for my client that ended up hitting 1M views, (https://youtu.be/_c3lGgXr2m4?is=i9vahApEQwTMtzyG) I started getting a few DMs. One of them was from a big creator who wanted the exact same editing style.

We ended up agreeing on $1,500 per video for 2 videos a month. The whole thing happened pretty naturally, without even having to negotiate.
That’s why I’d tell anyone just starting out to put in more effort than what the initial budget might justify. You never know what one good edit can lead to.
You could literally be just one video away from landing a great client and changing your situation!!

Posting after months in this community I guess I really wanna update here because Joseph Classroom skills took my month from $1050 to $2850 in just 1.5 months !!

Closed my second client this month and I’ve really been busy
I wanna complete all the courses in the classroom but I haven’t even finished them yet
So much to learn but I still chose to close another client first
I’ll complete all the courses soon because even half of them already helped me uplift my skills
Thanks to Joseph my edits look a bit more premium now so I can charge more premium prices now 🤑
Will update you mates soon when I close another client and go from working 9 to 10 hours a day to 14 hours a day

Just wanted to share some good news — I recently closed a client for $2.5k/month. Honestly, this feels unreal, and it's probably one of the happiest moments I've had in a long time.
It took me about 6 months to get here. There were a lot of ups and downs, moments where I doubted myself, and times when I felt like nothing was working. But I kept going.

Guys I never thought I’d be making one of these posts but I guess it’s finally my turn...

Before joining UE, I was a beginner editor watching random tutorials on YouTube, stuck in a 9-5 and completely unsatisfied with my life. I always wanted to be a video editor but I had no direction and the 9-5 was legit taking all my energy so I kept procrastinating. But then I stumbled across the UE 1 competition that Charles won and it gave me the motivation to join.

I finally joined in April 2025 and it was exactly what I was looking for. A step by step roadmap that takes you from a beginner to a professional. And once I found that, I locked TF INNN.

In July 2025 I left my 9-5 to edit full time even though I had no clients. I kept hearing “you’re making a mistake” and “go back to your job” but I never let that stop me. I had some savings and was living with my parents, but I knew the money would only last me around a year so I was on a time limit.
I kept pushing and finally landed my first client in February 2026. The pay wasn’t great and it was a one time project, but I kept going and started working on Joseph’s short form content in March 2026. That was the biggest turning point for me as my editing improved so much and it gave me the confidence to work with other clients.

Fast forward to today and I’m at 3k/m, I’ve upgraded my setup (before and after attached) and most importantly I don’t need a 9-5 anymore!

I wanted to say HUGEE thanks to the legend @Joseph Eid for giving me amazing advice along the way and special thanks to my bros @Jacky Selemela @Dominic Knight @John Kim for keeping me accountable during the lows. If you’re in UE, I suggest making friends with people on the same path as they’ll push you to your limits.

And if you’re a beginner reading this, trust me your turn WILL come as long as you put in the work.

Just landed a $2,000 client creating high-quality reels in the style of Devin Jatho. They were so happy with the results that they're already offering me a bigger contract.

Just got the payment in that put my total earnings over $3k :)
I've been working with clients for 3 months. I still only have one client right now, but I've really been doubling down on personal branding and just now getting into outreach. Joining UE has been the best decision I've ever made. I don't have any idea of where I'd be right now if I didn't join - probably still learning simple animations in Premiere. The Editing Fundamentals course also helped me so much with design. And if you're advanced enough, the Viral Talking-Head masterclass is insanely useful.

Last month I reached the goal of 2000$ per month 🔥. I am really proud of that, but honestly it was probably the most stressful time in my life. In school I had my final exams, and had to learn much for that, but on the other hand I was getting many videos from my clients. Some editing sessions were going until 5 am. And it f*cked me up. But I think thats the price you have to pay to reach your goals. Keep going and you will suceed.

Today I finally get to write on this channel "Wins", I have been waiting for this for so long, and the best part? it's actually a very good client and not just a random one video guy like I had before.

I guess you are wondering how I got this client? Well I got help for the man himself @Joseph Eid (Thanks brother).
Joseph told me about this client in a meeting and the next day I made a trial edit, than a couple of days later an intro and now I am about to finish the first video.

To be honest, my only worry would be with school and my parents, cause if I don't manage to balance editing and school, I guess we all know which one gets cut off. But I'll try my best and hope to learn as much as possible from working on this project.

With this opportunity, the thing that i want to tell everybody that has a hard time finding clients is - Just work, be consistent and hop on the calls man, you never know when your time comes.

Well, I guess it's time to talk about this. Hi guys, I just wanted to post here for the first time to motivate those who are just starting out or haven't gotten their first client yet.

Last month I agreed with a client to consistently edit 2 long form projects per month. This is a documentary type of editing and I'm currently working with them. There's a lot to learn but I'm improving way faster now than ever.

Also, I had the opportunity to work in a one-time project for Eddie (Joseph's partner in Ultimate Editors) and I posted some of the results here in the community.

I encourage you to keep editing consistently, but with intention. Make sure you're clear about the type of content you'd like to work on, and treat every edit like it's real client work. Get multiple posts from the same re-edit so you can have a lot of content for your socials. And, be patient. If you put in the work, clients will eventually come.

Here are some of my wins. I was working as a delivery driver 1 and a half month ago and video editing was my side hustle.

Now I’m a full time video editor working with 6 clients.(More wins post coming)

hello guys, I"m currently editing a documentary for a client.
I've been paid 2000$ to do it so that's acutally good and I like the project BUT : I'm stuck af...
It's not my first one but IDK why this time I can't do anything, no idea is coming, I have other things in my head etc..

• I procrastinate a lot because I only have 2-3 hours per day to work on it
• I always have the feeling to not have the perfect shot or not the perfect music or the perfect idea (perfectionism)
• I really want to show my skills and do a lot of things but I'm just scared to not match the expectations, to not be able to acheive it, espacially when I see all the work that i still have to do.
• I'm feeling really unmotivated and stuck, since the begining I got into the flow couple times and did actually a lot of good things, but the next day : same thing, no idea, no energy, even with a moodboard and a loooooong list of ideas, effects etc...
• I've done around 50% of the documentary, I need to do some edits (dynamic parts between the talks and the value) , add the texts, transitions, some effect, I wanted to do after effect annimations but now I think I'll give up on it honestly, the sound design (it might save the project) and color grading (one of my friend is doing it)
• I don't have a specific deadline but I have around 10 more days to finish it.

I'll take any advice or help to get out of this situation, I feel like if I overcome this period, I'll be fine.

It’s been a long time since I posted anything in the community. This is mainly because I’ve been busy and haven’t really found the time to join the meetings, but I’ll try to be more active again.
I just wanted to share a positive experience I’ve had with this community.

I joined the community in April this year, watched all the lessons, learned a lot from everything @Joseph Eid taught, and participated in the meetings.

Just two months after joining, I was able to land a 1500$ full-time job, and I truly believe the support and guidance from this community and joseph played a big role in that. I also want to give a special thanks to my colleague @Omar Ismaiel.

I was just about to complete the premiere pro class and already landed a $30 USD per video per month client, I am on a trail phase with the client and already edited my first two Youtube shorts and the client loved it. The edits are not too perfect but did my best to apply all the concepts from the Premier Pro class. We will be going for 05 videos/Reels/YouTube Shorts per month. For those who've worked with bigger clients before, what's your #1 tip for handling clients professionally and keeping them happy? 👇😁

This month been really good with my clients. I had much time and had lot of work, it was perfect. But on the other hand I wanted to push my personal brand, but my problem is, that I don´t really want to post edit showcased etc. I want to give my viewer value, so they build trust and see "this guy knows what he´s doing". And with that type of content I feel stuck, I recorded a Video with good value, but in the editing I really don´t liked it (i am not a perfectionist) but that felt really off. So currently I am focusing to get better at motion graphics and also to "create" my constancy style, that I will use in my videos. What´s your advice for personal brand, that could help me?

No way, closed another one! I might need to start outsourcing soon, I'm getting really busy...
3 current clients, and 1 client that doesn't need more work until mid-August.
Once I have all 4, that'll be 4k/mo!
I still need to work on landing higher paying clients and not clients in the $500-$1.5k range, so I don't know exactly how to do that, but I'll be working on it.

Anyways, this client is giving me 7 shorts per week and they're pretty simple. B-roll, simple graphics, subtitles, ect. Each short takes me around 2 hours to complete.

Guys, BUILD YOUR PERSONAL BRANDS!!! Seriously, my last 3 clients have come from it, and I have a ton of DMs and emails coming with leads. These last 3-4 weeks of posting every day have really helped.

@Joseph Eid thanks for building this community and giving us SO MUCH value, I'm sure I'd be really struggling to edit high-quality videos and make good money with editing. Also I'm so glad I started at 15 since I still have another 3 years to edit in high school.

Today I hit a milestone on my video editing journey. I got a 600$/mo video editing job. Thanks to @Maaz Media for the information about this job opening. And thanks to @Joseph Eid for your teachings and for making me a part of this beautiful community.

I made my first $200 from video editing in less than a month right after finishing the basics of editing and learning SaaS animation.
The client actually came through someone I know, but it gave me the confidence to start taking my skills seriously and turn what I learned into real work.
Now, I’m working on building my personal brand as a video editor and putting everything I’ve learned into practice. 🎯
This is just the beginning, but I’m really happy with the progress so far.

It’s been a while since I last posted. I’ve been quite busy with work, but I wanted to take a moment to share a little update..I’ve been part of UE since UE 1.0, and today marks a year and a half since I joined this incredible community.
Back in the early days, I never missed a single community meeting,I showed up, asked questions, listened to other people’s experiences on the meets, learned from every session, stayed locked in on the courses, and gave it everything I had...Fast-forward to today, and in just two days, I’ll be marking almost seven months of working full-time as a long-form talking-head video editor remotely for a US-based company earning $1,500 a month.
Honestly, I never imagined I’d be earning this much doing what I love..Looking back, every meeting, every lesson, and every bit of effort was worth it.
