If I had told myself 3 months ago that I would be ACTUALLY making money from editing, I’d call myself crazy lol. As a lot of new members are joining at the moment, I thought I would share my experience from starting editing as almost a complete beginner, to landing a job which I will use to build out my portfolio more, and a track record that will win over new clients in the future. My editing journey began for one reason: I hated my old job. I knew it was time to try something that I felt inspired to do, and that I knew was extremely scalable in the future. I went looking around on YouTube for tutorials (binge watched Jack Cole’s 9 hour long premiere pro tutorial 💀) and eventually stumbled across Joseph’s YouTube channel. I remember the first video I watched was an editing competition, in which Charles made that banger of a video that you’ll all learn once you get onto the 3D Editing Masterclass. Needless to say, I was blown away with the quality of the edits that people were making inside the community. After working my way through almost every course on here, I felt as though I could comfortably begin working with clients. And so here we are today. I have replaced my old job with something I enjoy and I am making animations and edits that I am genuinely proud of. All of this was done in around 3 months… Now am I saying you can just sit in the community and expect to make progress just because you invested money into it? Of course not. I put in hours upon hours into learning everything I could, as quickly as possible. What I will say however is that being in the community was probably the only reason why I stayed motivated and on track, and I honestly believe I would have probably just called it quits long ago if I hadn’t invested in UE. So to all you new members, KEEP GOING and just trust the process. I still have a long way to go in my editing career, and I know that. I’m just so happy to have UE guiding me along the way. Thank you to Joseph, Harry, Charles, and John 🫶

Does Ultimate Editors Actually work?
What editors think of Ultimate Editors
Client | tasks | price | acquisition method

online business | VSL + YouTube ads | 860$ | word of mouth and organic content Instagram

Personal branding of an entrepreneur | Instagram reels | YouTube tutorials | 250$ | He saw my content on my Instagram

Local shop selling glasses | community management, content ideation, editing | 350$ for 2 months minimum | word of mouth and saw my organic content.

Lesson learned : I just posted 4/5 videos on my Instagram, not even for client acquisition but for my personnel brand, and it bring people to you, so imagine if you have a dedicated account with consistency and outreach everyday, finding 5 clients and making 2000$ is piece of cake. Also I’ve just completed the premiere pro masterclass and some stuff from the Devin Jatho masterclass but I’m not doing really fancy things for the moment, even though I want to get better at editing, if the market wants simple things and offer good prices for that, that’s good ! Just a message in case you think you need to be number 1 editor on the market do find a client. After failing at a lot of things in business I take it as a BIG WIN and if you are in a similar situation, I hope it’s gonna give you a lot of motivation for to lock in this summer and make some money 🫡 Personally I’m only part time editor for the moment so what should I do next ? Find other clients and outsource it ? Should I find more time to reach and manage 5 clients by myself ? Give me your feedbacks on that !

First 1000$ of editing (and first cash made online of my life)
I’ve been grinding for the last 4 months – learning, editing, improving, sending out messages, hearing nothing back, doubting myself more times than I can count… But I didn’t stop. And now, it finally paid off. I just signed my first long-term client – and I’m officially earning $1,200/month as a video editor. What makes it even better? This client is from the same country as me. I will have many meetings with him IRL. This isn’t just about the money (though it definitely helps). It’s about finally seeing real results. It’s proof that all those sleepless nights, all the effort – they meant something. If you’re still in the struggle phase: don’t stop. Seriously. Keep going. Learn. Improve. Show up. Your first win is closer than you think. Let’s build something big. Together.
